Blurb
Can an infant found in a convent
vineyard save the Cup of Christ and find her own true love?
Merlot was discovered and raised by the Mother Superior of a
French convent. The convent produced a wine much prized by
the king. As the girl grew the King desired her as well,
for she would rival the beauty of Arthur's queen. The
Church and the Ancient Druids have chosen her to fulfill an
Ordination and protect the sacred cup. The man she loves is
bent on revenge for the killing of his mother, by a man who
desires the secret of the convent wine. As the Druids bid
she becomes a fox to save France, the convent and the Cup.
Can the small woodland creature fulfill all the obligations
she is charged with?
Dee is a young at heart writer
who sees the world a little differently. With another twist to the
ever popular tale of King Arthur she presents her latest work.
Once again, A. Dee Carey has written a delightful fantasy that draws
the reader back into an age long past where magic is as much a part of
reality as the earth and sky. This tale, spun around a rebellious
young man, who is determined to find his own path in life reminds one
that the search for ones destiny and true love has not changed since
the beginning of time. With the aid of many magical beings he finds
his true destiny with a tiny fox at his side.
More
about Dee
Dee writes fantasy to escape our absurd reality.
In her books no one character makes fun of another, no child is
laughed at because they walked into a window or falls from a
highchair. People are not made sport of for failings they can not be
responsible for. In her strange world, good is rewarded, evil is
thwarted and the heroes are thinking of the higher purpose, rather
than how to make a buck off of someone.
Love is the true power. Dee goes to great lengths to present usually
opposing pointes of view with a commonality of tolerance. She believes
if everyone played well with others this would be more perfect world.
The world we are forced to live in harbors war, for no intelligent
reason, encourages crime by rewarding those who advocate violence and
attack helpless children. Those who "entertain" are compensated far
beyond their true worth and men are elevated to near sainthood by
pummeling other men in costumes as they run from one end of the
segmented field to the other. Now I am sure there are many who would
say it is a business, but why are those who do the greater good not so
elevated? The scale is off balance.
And because there is no way to make the vast changes that need to be
made, Dee chips away at the marble of convention by sculpting stories
that enlighten and entertain. She strives to portray the basic
goodness of man and proper treatment of all of us who share this
planet.
